The RCC opened its doors in 1958 as the Hinsdale Health Museum, committed to teaching students about their bodies and what to expect as they matured.
1974 - the organization was renamed the Robert Crown Center for Health Education and moved into the current Hinsdale location.
1983 - RCC educators teach the Center’s one-millionth student.
1985 - AIDS education is introduced.
1987 - The Robert Crown Center expands by offering programs taught in Chicago public school classrooms.
1990 - RCC educators teach the Center’s two-millionth student.
1992 - The Robert Crown Center offers revamped educational programs for special needs learners.
2002 - the second campus opened at the Homan Square Community Center in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood.
2008 - RCC partnered with Aurora University and the City of Aurora to open a third location in the Fred Rogers Community Center, to coordinate health education services in Aurora.
2010 - RCC launched its first virtual classroom.
