Robert Crown Center for Health Education Helps Girls Build Self Esteem With “Happy to be Me!” Celebration

On February 2, 2013 more than 400 women and girls gathered at the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace to celebrate RCC’s first “Happy to Be Me!” event.  The fundraiser provided information and entertainment to the audience who gathered to learn how to help girls develop and maintain positive self-esteem and a healthy body image.  Chicago author and “Today Show” contributor Leslie Goldman provided a presentation to the crowd who also participated in raffles, drawings and boutique shopping.  All proceeds benefitted the Robert Crown Center for Health Education.  Click on this link to see CEO Kathleen Burke and Leslie Goldman previewing the event on the ABC 7 Morning News Saturday, February 2nd.
