HEALTH ADVENTURE - 3RD Grade (go back)
Introduce
your students to Oscar, the take-apart man and his friend, Valeda, the
transparent talking woman. The two of them and a skeleton give a real lesson
in human anatomy that stresses the dynamics of body systems and the
different types of cells. As always, we include the role of proper
nutrition, exercise and rest.
This interactive program teaches the
third grade student about health and the human body. Students are experience
the following:
• Valeda, the transparent talking lady, teaches
about organs and their functions;
• Students get hands on with by
taking Oscar apart and examining his organs;
• The digestive rope
illustrates the length of the digestive system;
• Students learn
how the skeleton protects their body; and
• We show a video all
about the food groups.
